We collect information in two main categories: data from Restaurant Owners (our subscribers) and data from End Customers (diners).

A. For Restaurant Owners (SaaS Subscribers)

• Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your Name, Business/Cafe Name, Email Address, and Contact Number.
• Business Details: We store your Menu items, pricing, restaurant logo, and business settings.
• Billing & Shipping: For paid plans and hardware orders (POS/NFC cards), we collect your Billing Address, Shipping Address, and GST/Tax ID.

Note: We do not store your credit card or banking numbers on our servers. All payments are processed securely via third-party gateways (Razorpay/Stripe).

B. For End Customers (Diners)

• Session Data: When you scan a TAPiZY QR code or tap an NFC card, we may collect your "Guest Name" and "Table Number" to facilitate order delivery.
• Order History: We record the items you order and the time of transaction to generate sales reports for the restaurant owner.
• Payment Information: If you pay for your meal online, your payment details are handled directly by the payment processor.

C. Technical Data (Automatically Collected)

• Device Information: Browser type, IP address, and operating system.
• Usage Data: Which pages you visit, time spent on the menu, and click interactions.
• Bluetooth Permissions: To use the Bluetooth POS Printer feature, our web app may request access to your device’s Bluetooth API. This data is processed locally on your device to send print commands and is not stored on our cloud servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• Service Delivery: To generate your unique QR Menu URL, process orders, and display sales analytics.
• Hardware Fulfillment: To ship POS machines and NFC cards to your provided address.
• Transaction Processing: To facilitate payments between diners and restaurants, or between restaurant owners and TAPiZY.
• Communication: To send order confirmations, invoices, and critical service updates (e.g., downtime or new features).
• Analytics: To improve our UI/UX and understand platform usage trends (e.g., "Most popular ordering times").

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data to advertisers. We only share data with trusted third parties required to operate our service:

• Payment Processors:
  • Razorpay (India): Used for processing INR transactions.
  • Stripe (International): Used for processing USD and global transactions.
• Cloud Infrastructure: We use secure cloud providers (e.g., Vercel, Supabase, AWS) to host our database and application.
• Logistics Partners: We share your Shipping Address and Phone Number with courier services to deliver hardware orders.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, such as in response to a court order or valid government request.

4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and local storage to:

• Keep you logged into your dashboard.
• Remember your "Cart" contents if you refresh the page.
• Analyze site traffic.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings, but disabling them may break essential features like the Shopping Cart or Admin Login.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL encryption (HTTPS) for all data in transit. Access to your personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. International Data Transfers

TAPiZY operates globally.

• For Indian Users: Your data is processed in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000.
• For International Users: Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries where our servers are located. By using our service, you consent to this transfer.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information (editable via your Dashboard).
• Delete your account and data (Right to be Forgotten). To request deletion, please contact support.
